ZONES OF SAND - Total 4 Zones

Zone - 1 -----> 15 - 34 %
Zone - 2 -----> 35 - 59 %  => used in concrete mixing Ex :- River Sand
Zone - 3 -----> 60 - 79 % ==> Mostly used for plastering
Zone - 4 -----> 80 - 100 % ==>    "              "

Zones are obtained after sieve analysis of sand with 600mc sieve and the result follows the different zones based on the Percentage % of sand retained from analysis

Sieve Analysis :- 7 No of Sieves
                                                                      mc = microns

  1. 10mm
  2. 4.75mm
  3. 2.36mm
  4. 1.18mm
  5. 600mc
  6. 300mc
  7. 150mc
Testing of Concrete Blocks for Compressive Strength of Concreteblock M20 grade - 7days Test
Block dated 31-1-13
Date of Test 7-2-13
Check Dimension - Block should b 150mm from all sides
Weight of the block - 8.17 kg
The top surface of the block should be kept in machine such as it face front.
Load on cube - 472
Load/Area = 472/22.5 = 20.97 ( Compressive Strength )
Area = 150*150/1000 = 22.5
Volume = 150*150*150/1000 = 3375
